Blue Christmas Contemplative Event

Presented by LB Interfaith Council, St. Mary's Episcopal Church & Neighborhood Congregational Church, join us for a Blue Christmas Contemplative Service on Thursday, Dec. 21st, 6pm at Neighborhood Church.

Not everyone is excited and cheerful for the Christmas holiday, dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with illness, and a number of other human situations, which make parties and joviality painful for many people.  This community-wide Blue Christmas Contemplative service will focus on the joy and hope the Holy One offers, and will provide a calming sense of peace duirn g this busy and sometimes difficult seaason.

On the longest night of the year, we extend this invitation to join us in a time of prayer, readings, reflection, and music, and may it serve as a reminder that God's presence is for all.
