LOCA Art Talk

 LOCA Arts Education invites art lovers to its LOCA Art Talks events, offered monthly in downtown Laguna Beach. The fun, educational, and interactive gatherings take place on third Thursdays 4-5:30pm. “Our events are great for artists and non-artists alike,” said program coordinator Cindy Fletcher. “Our speakers are always friendly and engaging,” she said.
  The 2020 season kicks-off with Contemporary Collage on January 16. Presenters are artists Carolyn Machado and Mia Moore. Both are influenced by Asian aesthetics - Machado creates assemblages of found objects and artifacts, while Moore creates 2-dimensional and folded works from antique papers.
  Upcoming presenters include goldsmith and jeweler Karin Worden on February 20, poet and magic realist painter Paul Bond on March 19, gallery owner, arts editor and curator Vanessa Rothe on April 16.
